LAHORE: Former Punjab governor and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, while terming the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as ‘NAB league’, has said that the bureau should be closed if it has to work as a proxy of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Commenting on the closure of reference against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, he said the entire nation, including the opposition parties, was united against corruption but the PML-N was drawing obstacles in way of accountability, which is condemnable and against the national interest.
Sarwar said on Friday that closure of money laundering cases depict that NAB was working according to the wishes PML-N and against the rule of law and constitution. “Such ineffective and incompetent institution must be closed,” he added.
