Two Metropolitan Police officers have been arrested as part of a corruption investigation.
The officers, one a detective who is involved in intelligence gathering for Scotland Yard and the other a police constable, are accused of being involved with false insurance claims and laundering money through a luxury car hire company based in London.
A 32-year-old detective was arrested at his home in London on suspicion of money laundering, perverting the course of justice and committing offences under theComputer Misuse Act
A 22-year-old constable was arrested at his home in Redbridge, north east London, and is being questioned in connection to fraud by false representation.
The Met’s anti-corruption officers received a tip off that car hire company, along with several others across London, was being used for illegal purposes.
