Ex-President sacks CEO over $4.9m money-laundering scandal, she takes down Facebook page, Website

Welsh stated at the meeting, held in London, that it was not the first time she would be involved in money-laundering deals.

The Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation has sacked its CEO and Board of Trustees member, Anne Welsh, following a video published online by SaharaReporters on Thursday, May 7, which showed Welsh scheming with a group of  ‘Lebanese businessmen’ to launder $4.9 million through the Foundation.


Welsh stated at the meeting, held in London, that it was not the first time she would be involved in such deals. In the deal, it was agreed that she would pocket over one million dollars.


In reaction to the development, Chairman of the foundation, ChiefOlusegun Obasanjo said that he, and other trustees of the foundation were sad after learning about the allegation against Welsh.
“Accordingly, the Board of Trustees has asked her to immediately resign, and she has done so,” Obasanjo toldPremium Times.
